Appointment at London Philharmonic Orchestra

Minn-Mayoe-playing-violin

I’m delighted to share that I have recently been appointed No.6 First Violin at the London Philharmonic Orchestra. My start date was 23rd March, the same day as lockdown was announced in the UK, certainly an unusual way to begin a new job! I’m looking forward to returning to the new normal and the LPO is back together creating wonderful music for everyone to enjoy. It’s such an exciting moment in my career and I hope to provide inspiration for people from all backgrounds aspiring to engage in the music industry.

In the meantime please support your favourite musicians and ensembles by following their social media and websites. Many are providing online performances, pre-recorded live concerts and other creative ways to reach out to their audience. My fiancé and fellow Dulcinea Quartet violist Martin Wray and I made a fun video of Ysaye’s Ballade opening – violin and viola version at the same time! Sending everyone safe and healthy thoughts. I can’t wait to see you back in concert halls when the appropriate time comes.
