The Dulcinea Quartet is delighted to be performing a unique combination of core string quartet repertoire with contemporary gems. The programme starts with Haydn, the ‘Father’ of the string quartet, and finishes with the youthful but already highly experienced 18 year old Mendelssohn. Contrasting this quartet canon is Takemitsu’s ‘A Way A Lone’, a piece full of ebb and flow, which highlights the Quartet’s continuing link with Japan.
