Welcome to my violin blog!

Welcome to my violin blog!

Hello! Welcome to my new website!

I’m excited to include a blog on here, where I will post monthly music favourites as well as sharing what I use in my violin life day to day.

As a freelance classical musician, I enjoy performing in a range of ensembles as well as as a soloist. My string quartet, the Dulcinea Quartet, started in our first year as undergraduates at the Royal Academy of Music. I’m delighted at how we’ve grown over the years and look forward to more thrilling music making in the future! London is such a great city for freelancing. There’s such a variety of ensembles and venues, you can really open your mind to so many creative outlets.

Part of the freelance lifestyle involves lots of travelling – I’ve been lucky enough to perform all over the world, including countries such as South Korea, China, Slovenia, Italy and Gibraltar, not forgetting DQ’s tours to Japan! I plan to share these experiences with you, bringing you with me on my musical adventures 🙂

Comment below and let me know what music you’ve discovered on your travels – near or far!

Hi Felicity!! So good to hear from you, I hope you’re well. The LPO has been doing concerts for online streaming and I’ve recently been doing Glyndebourne which has been great as some audience has been allowed. How are things with you? Mx

Hi Minn. I was so excited to find this page and see you have become a professional freelance violinist. Congratulations!!
I remember how good you were when you were younger. Have you been able to do any music making during lockdown?
